Business Stationery Design: What should be on your Letterhead

Communication is vital for businesses and the material you use for communications can have a massive impact on the overall image of your business. This is why it is so important to get your business stationery design including your letterhead, business cards and compliment slips absolutely right. Sometimes our clients are a little unsure of exactly what to include on their letterhead, so we’ve put together this guide to take you through the key components to an effective letterhead design.

Contact Details

It probably goes without saying, but all business stationery should give people the information they need to be able to get in touch with you. A letterhead should include your contact address (if you have a different registered address, your contact address should be the one you use here) as well as your main phone number. You could also include an email address and the address of your website as people are increasingly using the internet as a preferred method to get in touch.

Logo

Your logo is vital to your brand and it helps people to identify your company. It also builds confidence as it lends legitimacy to your letterhead, as well as adding one of the key points of interest. Traditionally, the logo was always at the top left of a letterhead but with many of our clients looking for something more innovative we have previously placed logos in many different locations, including as a ‘watermark’ across the main part of the page.

Tagline

A lot of businesses like to include a brief tagline on their letterhead design to let people know instantly about what they do. This could be a short mission statement or something which describes the business. For example, Add Design uses ‘The online graphic designers.’ This lets people know what we are (graphic designers) and what makes us unique (we work online). A Tagline is especially important if you are using the letterhead to engage with new customers, as they many be unfamilar with the brand and what it is that you offer them.

Company Number

You are legally required to include your company number somewhere in the design of all business stationery, so you should definitely include this somewhere on your letterhead.

Registered Company Address

Again, you have a legal requirement to include your registered company address on your business stationery. Often, this will be different from your main contact address so we often include the registered address in the footer so it is not confused with the preferred address for communications. Alongside the registered company address should be the full registered name of the company, or if it is a trading name then you should include the registered company it belongs to.

VAT Number

Depending on what you are using your letterhead for, you might or might not have to include your VAT number. If you are using the stationery to send out invoices or credit notes, then you will definitely need to include it. If, however, you are using your letterhead for correspondence only then it will be up to you whether you choose to include your VAT number or not.

Accreditation Logos

Many of our customers include the logos for accreditations and professional memberships which they have. This adds significant weight to the company presentation and is one of the key ways of instantly showing your quality of service to customers. If you do include accreditation logos then ensure that you will be accredited by each organisation throughout the period you expect to use the letterhead (otherwise you will have to reprint if the accreditation changes). You might also need to check the rules on usage for each logo as many accrediting organisations have strict rules on how their logos can be used.

Corporate Folder Design: The Options

Alongside our corporate brochure design packages, we also offer a great range of corporate folders which are fast becoming a preferred alternative to heavy promotional literature. Consisting of a high quality card cover and inner flap they provide a really flexible solution which allows businesses to pre-select documentation for presentation to a client. This documentation may be a set of professionally designed inserts covering different elements of the services and products the company offers, but can also be more mundane paperwork such as quotations or terms and conditions. Whatever is included, a corporate folder keeps everything together and holds it within the company brand.

There are a number of different considerations that can affect the overall look and cost of your corporate folder design, so here is a guide to the options.

Standard shape vs. Bespoke shapes

We have a range of corporate folders in standard shapes available to all clients including options for a right hand inner flap, left hand flap or flaps on both sides. For most purposes, these are perfect but sometimes our clients have a specific purpose for the folder or ask us to create something unique to increase the folders impact. This requires us to design a bespoke template and a unique cutting die will be manufactured for the cutting process. This results in a higher printing cost, but is a one way to create the unique look that so many of our clients are looking for.

Single or Double Sided Print

When it comes to printing, your corporate folder can either be printed on just the outside (and inner flap) or on both the outside and inside of the document. Which option you choose will depend on the purpose of the folder and how much text or other information you wish to include. If the folder is replacing a brochure as the main promotional item to send to customers, then printing on the inside will offer space for covering some of the main selling points of the company. However it must be remembered that the inside right of your folder will be mostly covered by the items tucked within the flap, so might not always be instantly accessible to a client to read.

Card Choice

Our standard folders are available in a 280gsm light card and a 400gsm premium card. For most applications, the 280gsm is the perfect option, but if you are selling a premium product or service then we would recommend that you choose a higher quality card to reflect the standard of your work. It’s important to achieve the right balance between the overall look and cost of your product, so think carefully about what your folder will be used for when choosing the card.

Finish

Standard folders are available in both a matt card or gloss card finish. However, we can also add either a protective matt or gloss laminate on the outside of your folder at an additional cost. Lamination can not only enhance the overall thickness and appearance of the folder, but can also offer protection against heavy handling by your salespeople and clients.

Capacity

The capacity of your folder refers to the thickness of the spine. Our standard folders can have a 0mm, 2mm or 4mm capacity. Think about what you need to put in the folder to work out how much space you will need inside. If you are intended to store a significant amount of documents in it, then you will need to choose a higher capacity to prevent the folder from warping when it is full of inserts.

Business Card Slots

One great option for corporate folder design is to include slots in the inner flap so that a business card can be stored there. This can instantly put the contact details of the sales person directly alongside the information included. If you choose this option, then we will ask for a copy of your business card so we can make sure it will fit within the overall design of the folder. Alternatively, we can design you a new business card that matches the look of the folder and that fits in perfectly to its design.

Catalogue Design : Planning your Catalogue Design

A large catalogue is often a significant undertaking as it involves bringing together a wide range of text and imagery into a single perfect document. When you are working with so much material, it is vital that you plan everything out properly and spend some time making sure everything is organised prior to the design stage. This will ensure that the final catalogue design is as strong as possible and that every product is easy to locate and understand for your audience. After all, it is this ease of selection which is likely to result in orders from your time-restricted audience.

In this article, we take you through the most important things we recommend you think about when planning your catalogue design.

Number of Pages and Structure

In order for your catalogue design to be a success, you need to give some thought to its structure. It should be laid out in such a way that it is easy to navigate and understand, so that readers can find their way logically through the information. The presentation of each product also needs to be relatively consistent so the information doesn’t look jumbled and related products can be easily compared by customers. We always recommend that you sketch out a plan of what you want to include on each page before you begin. This is exactly what we do. Before any of our graphic designers start on a large brochure or catalogue design they will create a plan to make sure the information is structured logically across the pages. Remember, as catalogues are printed in sets of four pages, you need to ensure that your document doesn’t end on an uneven number of pages, and also remember to include your covers, contents list and index when counting up.

Images

The images you use in your catalogue design are really important as they give people a quick snapshot of what they can expect from the delivery. Where are you planning to get your images from? If you are getting them from manufacturers, then you will need to make sure they have everything you need and that they are happy for you to use then in your document. You should also make sure that they’re of a really high quality. Images taken directly off websites are rarely good enough quality for printing. If you plan to take the pictures yourself, then you should give some consideration to whether it would be worth hiring a professional photographer. This is important as you need to make sure your presentation is consistent throughout the whole catalogue and including a range of different styles of photographs can really affect the overall quality of the catalogue.

Text

Obviously, the text will play a large part in your catalogue design so you should ensure all your content is completed to a high standard so people feel confident about the information you are providing them. The style of text should also be consistent throughout the catalogue, so make sure all the key points are included and that, if you are describing multiple products, you provide the relevant points for comparison on all of them. It’s a good idea to use bullet points and keep text as brief as you can so it’s easy to read and readers can find exactly the features and points of information they are looking for.

Choice of Paper/Card

The type of company you are and the products you sell will have an impact on the choice of paper or card. For instance, if you are a high-end company that focuses on expensive individual items, you might want to go for a really high quality card to reflect the quality of your business in your catalogue. Conversely, if your company focuses on value and volume, then the quality of your paper is unlikely to have such an impact when printing your catalogue so it is best to go for the most cost-effective option.

Our extensive print experience means that we can advise on the best and most cost effective options on paper and finish for your project.

Delivery Date

When do you plan on distributing your catalogue? It’s important you have a specific date in mind so you can leave sufficient time to design, compile and print it. You can also save money by being prepared, as express printing incurs extra charges whereas discounts can often be offered if you are able to accept a longer print time.

Leaflet Design for Internet Businesses

In this post we explore how leaflet design can be effective for internet businesses.

As more and more companies move their operations online, the world of online advertising is becoming increasingly competitive and it can be hard for new internet-based retailers to make their mark. Not only has the cost of achieving high Google rankings dramatically increased with competition, but the nature of search engine searches makes it very difficult to demonstrate your important points of differentiation from other retailers. It is also difficult to target specific socio-economic groups or geographic areas with your online advertising, whereas with good marketing data a targeted leaflet campaign into a specific neighbourhood can reach and actively inspire the right kind of people.

As a result, we have seen a number of internet-based retailers using leaflets and other printed materials to push traffic to their websites as they look for alternative – but effective – ways of advertising and targeting specific groups. These are a few of the most important things to consider about leaflet design for internet businesses.

Not too much information

The purpose of your leaflet is to catch people’s attention and inspire them to check out your website. This means that you don’t want to give away too much information in your leaflet design as the overall aim is to get them online where they are only a few clicks away from being able to buy. Focus on the key points in order to spark people’s interest and make sure it’s clear that they can find out more if they visit your website.

Product, product, product

If you are going to have any luck in securing the custom of internet shoppers, you need to make sure your products are showcased front and centre. This is why we recommend that the design of internet business leaflets is focused on products. Of course, it’s important to give people a bit of information about your company and the quality of your service, but you shouldn’t let this detract from the thing that is going to send people to your website – the right product at the right price, displayed in the right way.

Keep it simple

When designing leaflets, we always ask our clients what they see their core message as being. This helps to keep things clear and simple, so the leaflet will have the biggest impact possible. Think about what makes your company great and different to your competition. For example, if you offer free delivery, then make this the core message of your leaflet. If your products are cheaper than those available in the shops, make this the focus. Don’t push too many different things – just find your key selling points and stick with them.

Discounts

If you are looking for ways to increase response rates from your leaflets, then a really good way of doing that is to include a special offer or discount code with your leaflet as people are always more likely to respond if they feel they are getting an exclusive deal. As well as increasing responses, including a unique discount code is a really good way of helping you monitor the success of your leaflet campaign so you can work out how many direct responses you have had from it. However, when considering the success of your leaflets don’t just consider direct response. Unlike Google advertising, leaflets are capable of increasing general awareness amongst target groups which can pay off in the long-run.

Call to action

Your leaflet is essentially a call to action. You want people to go to your website for more information and – with a bit of luck – to buy your products. This needs to be really clear on your leaflet. Make sure you include an unmistakeable message such as ‘go to www.thisaddress.co.uk to buy now’ so people can’t possibly doubt the course of action they are expected to take in response to the advert.

Corporate Brochure Design : Designing Corporate Brochures for the Finance Sector

The past few years have been tough for everyone, but lately the finance sector has been very much on the rise once more. As a result, we’ve seen an increase in the number of corporate brochures and other material we are designing for asset management, wealth management and accountancy firms. As these businesses often work with a very select audience of individuals, the design of their brochures becomes hugely important. Their brochure design must reflect the values of the organisation and be distinctive, but more importantly it has to help convince a very discerning audience to trust significant quantities of money with the company in question. Here are some of the key considerations we take into account when designing products for financial firms.

Branding

The design of your corporate brochure needs to reflect the style of the rest of your company as it is one of the key ways of marketing your services and building the brand. By making the brochure a ‘keystone’ within the wider marketing of the company, a unified and trustworthy image will be portrayed. This means it’s important to think carefully about the values your brand represents as well as the audience you are hoping to target. We can work with you to develop your ideas and build your brand into a successful corporate brochure design that inspires people to use your services.

Images

When it comes to the finance sector, it can be difficult to find images that really reflect the services offered. The obvious picture that comes to mind is of money or traditional symbols of wealth, but such overt images suggests a company with a brash approach. Instead, the imagery needs to reflect the key message you are trying to convey. For instance, are you trying to offer security? or trying to maximise the assets of your customers? or giving customers unique access to overseas funds? The particular focus of your business may well provide the answer when it comes to choosing the right images and feel for your brochure.

Trust

Perhaps with the finance sector more than any other, trust is a really important factor as it can make the difference to being successful and not. This is why it is vital to make sure everything about your corporate brochure design inspires trust in your company. From the pictures you choose to the language you use, all of it matters. The layout of your company brochure is important here as well, as a brochure that is well-thought out, well spaced and attractive to read is instinctively going to inspire more trust in the reader than one which looks put together in a rush. One of our key skills in designing for this sector is to carefully structure all the information (pictures, text, headlines, captions, quotes) in a way which reflects the precision, care and attention the company wishes to portray to its customers..

Quality

Finally, it’s important to consider the quality of your brochure. We often find that the financial firms we work with are targeting their products to high net worth individuals and so quality is vital both in terms of brochure design and the way that it is printed, finished and presented to clients. We generally recommend that you use high quality printing materials that make your corporate brochure feel substantial as this will give your brochure a more luxurious feel and signal to your clients that you really care about quality. When image matters so much, it’s amazing the difference that the right choice of paper and finish can make to your final brochure and at Add Design we are always happy to advise clients on the best ways to show this quality.

Business Logo Design – What Your Logo Says About You

You might think that coming up with a company logo is a relatively unimportant part of your business – after all, what you do is more important than what you look like, right?

Well, mostly right. Of course, the best logo design in the world isn’t going to save you if you don’t have the business to match, but it’s definitely fair to say that if your logo design isn’t up to scratch, it can cause you some serious problems – regardless of your company size. Think about how many judgements you make every day about which products and services to use or buy. While many of those decisions will be based on considerations such as availability and cost, more than you realise you are rejecting brands purely on the appearance they create to you – whether they look outdated, untrustworthy, amateur, too young, too unfashionable, too feminine, too masculine etc.

Take Gap as an example. You’re no doubt familiar with them; they’re one of the most famous clothing retailers in the world. You’re probably also familiar with their logo, but you might not know that they tried to change their logo last year. Needless to say, it didn’t go entirely to plan. See the image below to compare their traditional, well-known logo with the one they tried to replace it with.

We don’t want to be mean, but the logo on the right looks like it would be more suitable for a computer software conglomerate than a cool clothing outfit. There was a general outcry and period of ridicule following the unveiling of Gap’s new logo last year and they ditched it after just a week.

This is just one high profile example of a logo gone wrong: if it can affect Gap so badly, think what it might do to a smaller business whose reputation isn’t quite so established and, therefore, more vulnerable to setbacks. This shows the importance of having a good business logo design service that can really help to capture what your business is about and come up with a logo that not only suits you but represents the values and qualities important to your clients. If Gap had not listened to its customers and had followed through with the rebranding across all their stores, think of the amount of custom they would have lost as existing customers decide that the store no longer reflects them.

Your logo is often the first visual representation of your company that people will see. For example, when you are looking to network with others or promote your business, any promotional material you send out will have your logo on. It will also feature prominently on your website and on your business stationery.

Having a professionally designed logo that has been created especially for your business will not only allow you to better capture what your company is about in a single image, but it will also help you stand out. It will allow you to start building a defined, distinctive brand that sets you apart from your competition and allows people to instantly recognise and identify with your business.

This is really important: if people recognise your business just from looking at your logo, then they are more likely to trust you and, therefore, be more likely to use you when they need services that you can offer. A good business logo will also help to build pride in your employees and they’ll be more confident and passionate when representing your business, which is ultimately good for everyone.

So, whether your company is big or small, your logo is really important. Add Design offers a comprehensive business logo design service that offers a tailored, bespoke service to all companies, no matter what size they are – even Gap. If you’re interested to find out more, please get in touch.

Logo Design: Make the Most of the Olympics with Top Logo Designs

With the Olympics on their way to London, you have surely seen the London Olympics logo and all the controversy surrounding it. It seems to be a little bit like Marmite – people either love it or hate it (and Iran has even threatened to pull out of the games because of it). The debate over the logo aside, though, with the Olympics on the way, company owners should be paying attention to the way their own logo designs, so they can take advantage of the extra business the Olympics is set to bring to London.

If the bold and colourful London 2012 logo says anything it is the London is an exciting, dynamic and modern city, so those companies which are looking tatty and outdated risk missing out on the rush of new customers coming into the city. They also risk missing out on the partnerships and innovations which will be setting up in advance of the games, pushed forward by a government keen to see the Olympics become a legacy rather than a one-off sporting event.

This makes it the perfect to time to think about your business logo design, so you can make sure you come across as a modern, open, dynamic and world-aware organisation. At Add Design, we have 3 business logo design packages that can create a modern and professional look for your business. Read on to find out more.

The Logo Update Package
This is our cheapest logo design package at £75 + VAT. If you have a sketch or an idea for a logo, we can take your ideas and turn them into a fantastic, professional design. We can also update your current logo to make it fresher and more modern.

Once you’ve given us your ideas and we’ve come up with a design for you, we’ll send the logo back to you so you can decide what you think about it. If you would like any changes, just let us know and we’ll make them for you to create the final design of your logo.

Then, as soon as you’ve signed off on our design, we’ll get the logo sent over to you. We send it in a variety of formats so you can be certain it will be perfectly replicated each and every time you use it.

The Simple Logo Design
This logo option costs £150 + VAT and is the second option for businesses looking for a new logo design. We will create a striking, original logo for your business that will really help you to stand out and create a distinctive brand for yourself – something that’s sure to be very important during the Olympics with so many companies competing for customers’ attention.

When we’re designing your logo, the first thing we do is find out everything we can about your company. This gives us a good idea about your business and, more importantly, the types of customers you are targeting so we can design something which truly represents your company. We’ll also research your competition to make sure your logo is unique to your business. Then we’ll provide you with 3 initial design ideas. You choose one and we’ll take that one forward and go through 3 rounds of drafting to make sure the final design is exactly right. Once you’re happy with it, we’ll send the logo out to you.

Unlimited Logo Design
This is our third logo design package and it costs £225 + VAT. The process is similar to the one outlined above, except we come up with 6 initial design ideas and go through unlimited rounds of drafting until we get the perfect logo for your business. This makes sure your company will stand out above the competition and attracts attention for all the right reasons – perfect for while the Olympics is on.

Leaflet Design: Why Leaflets are making a Comeback

For a long time, Add Design noticed that mailed promotions such as leaflets and flyers were the most common marketing spends by most companies. Over the past couple of years, though, this started to shift to online promotion. This was absolutely fine because the graphic designers at Add Design are really skilled in both types of marketing – offerering design and print in traditional formats such as leaflets, brochures, catalogues and flyers as well as the creation of high quality web sites.  A recent trend we’ve noticed, however, is that there is a shift back to the leaflet as the preferred choice for promotions. There are some very good reasons this is happening, so here is why we think leaflets are still the top medium for getting your message across.

Cost
As the number of websites on the internet has grown, so has online competition. This makes it more expensive to promote websites successfully online. It also means that while online promotion was previously a cheaper alternative to leaflet design, this is no longer the case. Companies are realising this and shifting their marketing spend accordingly.

Trust
Frankly, anyone can set up a website. This means it can sometimes be hard to know whether or not a site is genuine, especially as online fraud has increasingly become a concern for consumers. They trust the internet less than they used to and so aren’t using it as much to choose which suppliers to use. Another factor is email spam, which has increased to the point where a lot of consumers ignore promotional emails, even if they appear to be genuine, because they can just never be entirely sure. In contrast to this, it is much easier to inspire and develop trust among your customers by using physical items such as leaflets, flyers and brochures.

Local services
Increasingly, people are turning back to local suppliers and are really keen to support local services. It is much easier to promote your business as a local company through leaflets as you can target them to specific local areas and emphasise your credentials as a local business. By contrast, if a consumer goes online to try and find a supplier that serves their local area, they are more than likely to end up finding a large national supplier that spends a lot of money on online promotion and so has a really popular website. This can lead to smaller companies getting pushed out of the online market because the business giants are dominating the arena and making it harder for others to break through, prompting the swing back towards more traditional forms of advertising.

Inspired sales
One issue with internet advertising is that people will only find your service online if they are already looking for it. However, if you have a well-designed, informative, catchy leaflet, you are much more likely to attract the attention of people who otherwise may never have considered your services. You can send you leaflet to potential customers to inspire them to purchase something from you they might not have considered before, whereas if you used the internet, your message would be more likely to get lost amongst the shear number of other adverts.

Be Remembered!
Unlike internet advertising, leaflets with great designs are likely to be kept and referred at any time.  This is why so many have pinboards in their kitchen – to remind them of important things and useful services they may need in the future.  As soon as a computer is switched off, people quickly forget what they saw – and if they do want to refer to it again, it is often gone or difficult to find due to the fluid nature of online advertising.  Simply put, spreading your message via a leaflet means you can target your customers more precisely, and stand out from the online crowd -  leading to a greater chance of marketing success.

Add Design specialise in leaflet design, offering fixed price leaflet design packages which include professional design, high quality print and UK wide delivery. We also work with international customers and can deliver to most countries subject to increased delivery charges. With a wide range of options to suit all budgets and purposes, our leaflets can show everyone what is great about your business.

Graphic Design on a Budget : Business Logos, Business Cards, Letterheads and Brochures

Here at Add Design, we know that all companies want to appear professional and attractive, but they often operate on tight budgets – especially if they are just starting up. Here are some top solutions for helping you show your clients, competition and everyone else that you mean business without having to break the bank, with Add Design’s range of fixed price graphic design packages for business logos, business stationery, flyers, leaflets and brochures.

For instance, your business logo design is one of the most important things to do well. Get the right logo and it will act as the cornerstone of your brand, helping your company create a professional, distinctive look across all the material you produce now and into the future. We understand that you can grab a logo image off the internet for next to nothing, but you really need to think carefully about whether this creates the right starting point for the success of your company. The graphic designers at Add Design can create a completely bespoke logo for your company for a very good price – our prices start at just £75 and we tailor all our work to your needs, making sure you get exactly the business logo you need to get the company off on the right foot.

A good business card design is another really important marketing tool and business cards are vital for helping you create the right impression instantly. Once you’ve got your professionally-designed logo, this can be developed into a brand which can be extended onto your business cards. Most customers you meet will see quite a few business cards in a single day, so it is important that yours stands out against the others both in design and quality. This is something that can be done by using our graphic design services. All our prices include design, print and delivery, so you can benefit from a comprehensive package with no hidden costs. The killer business card is certainly an investment worth making.

We can also produce a letterhead for you to help extend the reach of your brand even further. After all, many businesses frequently send out letters to potential clients as well as current customers and it’s really important that you make sure your brand stands out and is distinctive. Once a customer is familiar with your company, the chances of you being used again is greatly increased. Our cost-effective letterheads are printed on a high quality 120gsm bright white paper to instantly create the right impression. However, for companies on a really tight budget we have another solution. Our electronic letterheads are absolutely perfect as you can just print them out from your own printer whenever you need them. As well as for letters, the electronic letterhead can also be used for a whole range of other documents, including professional-looking quotations, invoices, terms and conditions and more. At just £75 for a self-printing letterhead, all of this adds up to make them a very cost-effective branding solution for companies on a budget.

We also think company brochures are a great way marketing your business, but we understand that a lot of companies want to save on the cost of printing and posting as it is often this that pushes up the overall price. This is why our graphic designers work so hard to create fantastic-looking brochures that can either be emailed out to people or made available online. This allows you to distribute your brilliantly brochure quickly and simply to customers without the costs of either printing or postage.

Our Add Design graphic design services are perfect for any business that is watching its budget but still wants to benefit from high quality design. Plus, the price we give you is the price you pay: we don’t have any hidden extras or unexpected surprises in our costs as all prices include design, print and delivery.  Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to find out more.

Business Logo Design – The Benefits of Rebranding

Whether your company is large or small, there are many benefits to be had from rebranding your business. Of course, this isn’t something you should do too often or else your clients might find it hard to identify with you, but a well-timed rebranding is a great way of updating your image. This is especially important if you are launching a major new service or have recently revised your practices, as it shows you’re keen to move with the times and stay up to date with developments.

Often, rebranding can be done fairly simply as well, making it an even more attractive prospect. For example, your business logo design is something you can update without too much hassle but doing so can make a big difference to the impression that you create in the marketplace. An up to date brand will help your company look modern and dynamic, instead of out-dated as it might if you’ve had the exact same appearance for a substantial period of time. Even if you look at some of the largest and most identified brands in the world (Pepsi, Shell, Starbucks, BBC for example), they still make regular changes and updates to their business logos and branding to keep one step ahead and relevant to new audiences.

However, as well as engaging with new customers, another key benefit of redesigning your business logo and rebranding your business is to send a signal to your existing clients and customers. It shows that you think about the image of your business and that you know the importance of developing a solid, trustworthy brand. Introducing updated elements to your company brand via your business logo, web site and marketing materials shows that you are constantly developing and improving – characteristics which will always be considered positive by long-term customers.

The rebranding process can also help launch a new product or service. The change in branding will let people know that a major shift has taken place and if your new logo is engaging, they might be inspired to find out more. So, if your company is planning a change of direction but isn’t quite sure how to go about making the changes clear to existing and potential customers, investigating business logo design and other rebranding services could be a great way to do it.

A comprehensive rebranding of your company will also be a good opportunity for you to develop a coherent image. When you first started your business, you probably spent a lot of time making sure you had exactly the right image. As businesses grow, however, they often make piecemeal changes to their branding and so their message isn’t quite as sharp and cohesive as it could be. Rebranding the whole business will help to get that message back into line and make sure all your colleagues and employees are reading from the same page when it comes to the corporate image and values. On rebranding for larger customers, we often supply a set of brand guidelines which can be distributed amongst employees (especially those commissioning design work and advertising) which explains how the logo and brand can be used. Of course, we also work with customers beyond the business logo design and help produce everything they need – from stationery to brochures – to help keep the branding consistant.

One final benefit of company rebranding is that it can prove to be a great motivator for your employees. After all, everyone likes to feel that the company they work for is dynamic, constantly improving and good at keeping up with the times. Rebranding shows that you are thinking about the future, which is reassuring to your employees, especially in tougher economic times. You can also involve them in the process, which is a good way of developing loyalty as people like to feel that their opinions are being valued.
